Sponsored by Indivisible Northampton Swing Left W. MA & New PA Project & Red2Blue, or Turn PA Blue

When: Thursdays, 6-8pm

Where: Virtual. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with information about joining the meeting.

What: PA is a pivotal state, with an open, flippable U.S. Senate seat, an open governor's race we have to keep Democratic (as the governor has provided crucial vetoes on attempts by the GOP dominated legislature to pass terrible voting laws), and new, much fairer districts that make flipping one or both state houses a real possibility this year. Training is always provided - all are welcome.

How: Register in advance for this meeting HERE. For questions or information, contact Beth Lev at beth@indivisiblenorthampton.org

  • What: Every Wednesday, Christina Maxwell and Elizabeth Silver lead calls to Georgia Democrats on behalf of Rev Sen Rafael Warnock, who is running for re-election to the US Senate, and Stacey Abrams, who is running for governor. We are reaching strong supporters, including some volunteers. Calling is easy, the script is short and simple, and we will train you. We have a fun, relaxed, supportive group doing the calling.

  • Where: By Zoom. Once you sign up you will get the zoom link.

  • What: The Somerville Democratic City Committee is sponsoring phone calling to new and likely Democratic voters in New Hampshire on behalf of Sen. Maggie Hassan. Hassan won by only 1,017 votes out of 798,000 in 2016. She's a key Senate ally, and we need to keep her there. These are easy, straightforward calls.

    North Carolina - Cheri Beasley

  • When: Tuesdays, 5:30-7 pm

  • Where: Virtual. Once you sign up you will get the zoom link.

  • What: Lilly Lombard and Kyra Anderson lead calling into North Carolina for Cheri Beasley and down ballot Dems. Why North Carolina? Because that is where the phenomenal Cheri Beasley (NC Supreme Court's first-ever African American female Chief Justice) is currently tied in polls with Ted Budd (Trump-and-corporate-PAC-backed, extreme anti-choicebig-lie-peddler) for a US Senate seat that could determine whether Democrats maintain control of the Senate. Initial calls will be going to strong Democrats.

  • How: Sign up HERE to make calls. For questions or more information, please contact Lilly at jollyforager@gmail.com

ACTION #1 - PREVENT VOTING EQUIPMENT SECURITY BREACH

Write: Bill Galvin,  Secretary of the CommonwealthElections Division, McCormack BuildingOne Ashburton Place, Room 1705Boston, MA 02108

    • Script: Hi, I’m from [TOWN, ZIP], urging you to take measures to prevent, detect, and remediate voting equipment security breaches. The insider threats posed by anti-democracy election deniers participating in elections puts voting equipment security at risk. Please follow the Brennan Center’s recommendations and prevent security threats by:

    • Following best practices (e.g., restricting access, use of keycard systems, video surveillance to track access to equipment) for preventing and detecting breaches.

    • Creating a plan for how to respond to breaches promptly and decisively.

    • Communicating remedial steps to the public.

ACTION #2 - HELP STAFF THE POLLS

Sign up today to work the polls and protect every citizen’s right to vote. Adults and students are needed to oversee your local elections. Requirements, training, and pay rates vary. Sign up with the nonpartisan Power the Polls initiative, or use the U.S. Election Assistance Commission’s lookup tool for your community.
