INDIVIDUALS TAKING POLITICAL ACTION - WORKING TOWARD A BETTER TOMORROW

Our next meeting is Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 6:30 pm (location TBD, check back here soon for more details) AND via Zoom. Note: this is a follow up to our meeting held 8/11 where we were part of Indivisible’s “One Million Rising Resistance Gathering.” Email us at valleyactiongroup@gmail.com with questions or for the Zoom link.

Action is The Antidote to Anxiety

Help your friends and neighbors who are concerned but overwhelmed figure out how to fight the authoritarian takeover of our country. CLICK THIS LINK to get a flyer you can print out and distribute. It gives basic information and step by step instructions on what steps people can take right now.

Some additional thoughts to keep in mind. This struggle will take time to fix. Do not despair. It is important to understand that the voters, especially in numbers, have enormous power and impact - so it is important to work together. Read more here on how we will defend our democracy. And then do some actions listed below.

ACTIONS

  • Please do 1 or all 3 of these Actions from Indivisible’s One Million Rising targeted Resistance campaigns:

    •  Signs of Solidarity. Use this link to sign up to talk to local businesses.  Ask them to put up signs of solidarity that show their support for their immigrant neighbors, while also making sure they have designated private areas for employees that ICE can’t enter without a signed judicial warrant.

    • Ground Avelo. Avelo airlines is the first airline to sign a deportation contract with ICE--deporting people for profit! Make them pay! Click here to see the many actions you can take to help ground Avelo.

    • Fight Trump's redistricting coup. Texas has followed Trump's order to redistrict the state in advance of the mid-term election. In response Texas Democratic legislators have left the state. Texas For All have set up a National Day of Action for SATURDAY, August 16. Click here to find an event near you!

Our Work

Our Purpose

Valley Action started out of a living room with a group of friends concerned about important issues facing our world. We continue to be concerned about the state of our democracy. We are people who want a voice in the progress of our community.

We are a registered Indivisible Group.
